Effectiveness of Early Intervention

Children’s earliest experiences play a critical role in brain development.

Early intervention services provide help for infants and toddlers who experience developmental delays or are at risk for delays in their development. The brain is developing rapidly during the first three years of life.  During this time, early intervention services support families in providing positive early learning experiences to meet their infant or toddler’s developmental needs. Positive early experience can strengthen brain connections to support change in a child’s developmental path.
